【摘要】:Thesetestmethodscoverdirect-currentproceduresforthemeasurementofdcinsulationresistance,volumeresistance,andsurfaceresistance.Fromsuchmeasurementsandthegeometricdimensionsofspecimenandelectrodes,bothvolumeandsurfaceresistivityofelectricalinsulatingmaterialscanbecalculated,aswellasthecorrespondingconductancesandconductivities.Thesetestmethodsarenotsuitableforuseinmeasuringtheelectricalresistance/conductanceofmoderatelyconductivematerials.UseTestMethodD4496toevaluatesuchmaterials.Thisstandarddescribesseveralgeneralalternativemethodologiesformeasuringresistance(orconductance).SpecificmaterialscanbetestedmostappropriatelybyusingstandardASTMtestmethodsapplicabletothespecificmaterialthatdefinebothvoltagestresslimitsandfiniteelectrificationtimesaswellasspecimenconfigurationandelectrodegeometry.Theseindividualspecifictestmethodologieswouldbebetterabletodefinetheprecisionandbiasforthedetermination.Theproceduresappearinthefollowingsections:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
