【摘要】:Thisguidemaybeusedtoevaluatetextilesusedinapparel,upholsteredfurniture,floorcoverings,windowtreatments,andbed,bathandtablelinens.Thisguidemaybeusedforseveralpurposes:5.2.1Todeterminethecomparativeperformanceofneworexistingproducts,5.2.2Todeterminethesuitabilityofcurrentproductsindifferentend-uses,and5.2.3Toevaluateandcomparetheeffectofwearofconstructiondetailsaswellasspecificfabrics,fibers,dyeings,finishing,fabricationtechniques,etc.Thisguideprovidesforflexibilityindesignandevaluationsincetheinformationsoughtfromeachweartestwillvary(seeAppendixX1).Thisguidemaybeusedtocomparethewearperformanceoftwoormoretextileswhentheseareincludedinthesametest,ortocompareatextilewhosepropertieshavenotbeenevaluatedwithonehavingaknownperformancehistory.1.1Thisguideisdesignedtoprovidedataonwhichapredictioncanbebasedconcerningtheexpectedwearperformanceofawidevarietyoftextilesinend-useconditions.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
